We are growing rapidly and looking for high performers at every level to grow with us.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Ice Resurfacer Operator is responsible for maintaining safe and high-quality ice conditions for a variety of ice-related events and activities. The Ice Resurfacer Operator will ensure the ice surface is properly prepared before and after events, practices, and recreational sessions.</p> <p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with ice setup and takedown for events </li><li>Ensure compliance with safety standards while operating machinery and working in proximity to athletes and spectators </li><li>Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance of ice resurfacer and edger </li><li>Monitor ice quality throughout events or recreational sessions, adjusting as necessary </li><li>Collaborate with the ice operations team to ensure the efficient use of time and resources </li><li>Ensure that the ice rink area is clean and free from hazards </li><li>Perform general maintenance tasks around the rink as assigned, including sweeping and cleaning </li><li>Respond to all incidents, accidents, injuries, and altercations. Complete and file corresponding paperwork as necessary </li><li>Assist other departments as necessary </li><li>Practice safe operating techniques as specified by STAR for blade changes, driving, resurfacing, handling, and inspection of machines Accurately record all ice and equipment maintenance and readings daily </li><li>Complete special projects, daily assignments, and other duties as directed by management </li></ul> <p>MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Must be 18 years of age or older </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Basic knowledge of ice maintenance and resurfacing procedures </li><li>Must possess a valid driver's license </li><li>Certified Ice Technician (CIT) preferred </li><li>Must be able to work irregular shifts to include nights, weekends, holidays based on facility schedules </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <ul> <li>Ability to sit for extended periods while operating machinery </li><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds </li><li>Work is performed in an ice arena environment, which includes cold temperatures and varying noise levels </li></ul>
