<p>Job Purpose</p> <p>To carry out activities of the Electro-Mechanical Maintenance department to ensure that plant equipment is in optimal working condition.</p> <p>In this position you will have the opportunity to:</p> <ul> <li>Perform a variety of equipment repairs </li><li>Perform preventative and predictive maintenance functions </li><li>Perform skilled fabrication and machinist work </li><li>Troubleshoot electromechanical issues as necessary </li><li>Take elective cross-training </li><li>Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems </li><li>Maintains appropriate paperwork of maintenance department activities </li><li>Ensures that the work area is kept clean </li><li>Be familiar with JHA, JSA, Job Process Maps, and Environmental Management System for this position. </li><li>Ability to follow project documentation defining standards, detailed reports, specifications, plans, prints, schematics, and/or other necessary documentation required to achieve defined project goals. </li><li>Skilled working knowledge of automation and process control systems that integrate PCs, PLCs, AC or DC Drives. </li><li>Assist with internal or external engineering resources to ensure adherence to project goals and objectives. </li><li>Follow project management practices consistently throughout the project and work assignments. </li><li>Support Mill with the ability to troubleshoot electromechanical issues via remote access or on call. </li><li>Maintain installation quality. </li><li>Perform other duties as necessary </li></ul> <p>What do I need to be successful?</p> <ul> <li>Possess knowledge, demonstrate competency in, and obey all applicable company, state, and federal safety policies, standards, and regulations when working as a Louisiana-Pacific Corporation employee. </li><li>Possess the ability and desire to follow all safety rules, policies, standards, and constantly demonstrate safe work practices while performing all job duties. </li><li>Advanced knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance functions </li><li>Advanced knowledge of maintenance equipment and tools </li><li>Time management and prioritizing skills </li><li>Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and written repair manuals </li><li>Ability to follow our maintenance management program </li><li>Skilled working knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics. </li><li>Skilled working knowledge of all HMI hardware in use </li><li>Skilled working knowledge of AC & DC drives coordinated drives systems and position control systems. </li><li>Skilled working knowledge of medium and high voltage systems </li><li>Effective oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Knowledge and understanding of professional and ethical responsibility </li><li>Ability to function on multi-discipline or multi-functional teams </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma, GED or equivalent </li><li>2 years post-secondary education or on-the-job training in a related field </li><li>5 - 7 years' general maintenance/electrical/controls experience required </li><li>Trained on NFPA70E or willing to train after hire </li><li>Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Plant environment </li><li>Outdoor work subject to seasonal climate change </li><li>Standing 90% of the time </li><li>Some lifting and kneeling </li></ul>
