Working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, this entry-level role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy service delivery.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems </li><li>Fills medication carts on a daily basis </li><li>Prepares and restocks prepackaged medications and bulk inventory </li><li>Verifies inventory, receives/stores supplies, and updates inventory records </li><li>Assists in maintaining compliance with pharmacy storage and handling procedures </li><li>Follows procedures for labeling and packaging to ensure accuracy </li><li>Performs clerical duties to support pharmacy operations </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Expectations</p> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations and medications </li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills </li><li>Ability to use inventory management and pharmacy software systems </li><li>Able to follow instructions and work under pharmacist supervision </li><li>Demonstrates integrity, attention to detail, and customer service orientation </li><li>Able to stand, move, lift, and bend for extended periods </li><li>Must be able to handle physical and biological exposure typical in a hospital pharmacy environment </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent or </li><li>At least 16 yrs of age and actively working toward high school diploma (which includes dual-enrollment programs) </li><li>Completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Current Pharmacy Technician registration required, per state regulations or </li><li>Pharmacy Technician-in-Training, where applicable </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Entry-level; experience in a healthcare or pharmacy setting preferred </li></ul>
