<p>Financial Director | Growth-Focused Leadership Role | Chicago Metro</p> <p>We're partnering with a well-established and fast-growing transportation company headquartered in the northwest suburbs of Chicago (Lake in the Hills, IL) to identify a Financial Director ready to step into a high-impact leadership role-with a clear path toward CFO.</p> <p>This is a key role for a finance leader with a strong accounting foundation, experience managing multi-site teams, and a strategic mindset. The ideal candidate is adaptable, growth-oriented, and comfortable in a hands-on, evolving environment. You'll collaborate closely with the executive team to guide financial planning, drive operational efficiency, and help shape the company's long-term strategy.</p> <p>This role is onsite five days a week and oversees a distributed team of Financial Analysts, a Data Analyst, and the Accounting department. The right candidate will be both strategic and execution-focused-willing to roll up their sleeves and drive financial improvements across the organization.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning in alignment with company goals</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee timely and accurate financial reporting, variance analysis, and actionable insights for leadership</p> </li><li> <p>Manage financial risk and develop internal controls and compliance practices</p> </li><li> <p>Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency through financial analysis</p> </li><li> <p>Advise the CEO and leadership team on financial health, capital structure, and strategic direction</p> </li><li> <p>Lead financial due diligence and integration for potential acquisitions or partnerships</p> </li><li> <p>Provide mentorship and direction to finance and accounting team members</p> </li><li> <p>Support the transition from QuickBooks to an internal data-driven financial platform</p> </li></ul> <p>This is an opportunity for someone eager to grow, contribute to a collaborative and fast-moving environment, and help drive transformation across finance and operations.
