<p>Maintenance Technician III in Blythewood, SC</p> <p>Performs general manufacturing production and non-production machine and equipment maintenance. Performs preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure maximum uptime.</p> <p>Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:</p> <ul> <li>Works closely with production supervisors and operators to support production initiatives, including but not limited to, equipment modifications and repairs, and preventative maintenance of the equipment as well. </li><li>Troubleshoot machinery and equipment and makes necessary repairs using skills and knowledge listed below. </li><li>Records and Schedules maintenance tasks, including time, parts, and other materials used to complete tasks. </li><li>Lead and/or manage special projects as necessary </li><li>Requisition parts, materials, labor and support to complete job tasks. </li><li>Fabricates replacement parts as needed for machinery. </li><li>Fosters an environment that promotes PPT's goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork. </li><li>Locates and determines electrical and electronic malfunctions by using test instruments on production equipment and machinery. </li><li>Perform other duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Here is some of what you'll need (required):</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>At least 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience </li><li>Ability to read mechanical and electrical and/or engineering blueprints, drawings and schematics. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems and equipment, including drives, motors, etc. </li><li>Three years of mechanical alignment experience </li><li>Three years of experience with the following shop floor equipment: Drill Press, Mills, and Lathes, CNC equipment, automated and manual assembly and test lines, conveyors, waste treatment) </li><li>Experience with robots. Ex. Scara Arm, 6 Axis, Articulated, etc. </li><li>Three years of basic electrical and/or electronic experience </li><li>Experience in stick, mig, tig welding and cutting torch </li><li>Three years' experience reading blueprints, schematics and manufacturer manuals </li><li>Three years' experience with air compressors and pneumatic systems </li><li>Familiar with cooling towers and Process water chillers </li></ul> <p>Here are some things we would like for you to have (preferred):</p> <ul> <li>Strong Electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic experience </li><li>Industrial Maintenance Certificate </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements of the Job:</p> <ul> <li>Lifting & Carrying - Must be able to lift and carry up to 50-75 lbs regularly (tools, motors, parts, gearboxes). </li><li>Standing/Walking - Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (8-12 hour shifts), often on concrete floors. </li><li>Climbing - Regularly required to climb ladders, stairs, or access platforms/mezzanines to reach machinery. </li><li>Bending/Kneeling - Frequent bending, squatting, crawling, kneeling, or lying under equipment for repair/inspection. </li><li>Reaching & Handling - Must be able to reach overhead, use hands and arms for precise tool handling and parts manipulation. </li><li>Manual Dexterity - High level of hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills needed to use small tools and diagnostic equipment. </li><li>Visual Acuity - Must have clear vision (close, distance, color) to read manuals, wiring, diagrams, schematics, and perform inspections. </li><li>Hearing - Must be able to hear machine sounds, alarms, and instructions in a noisy industrial environment. </li><li>Mobility - Must be able to move quickly and safely around machinery, across production lines, and in confined areas. </li></ul> <p>Work Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Exposure to noise, vibartions, oil/grease, chemicals, and machinery. </li><li>Must wear PPE: gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes. </li><li>Work may be required in hot/cold environments or confined spaces. </li><li>May be required to work night shifts, weekends, overtime as needed or be on call rotation. </li></ul>
