<p>Christ Presbyterian Church (PCA) of Olive Branch, MS</p> <p>Assistant Pastor of Youth and Families</p> <p>To apply, contact Logan Almy</p> <p>loganalmy@att.net</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ordained or seeking ordination in the PCA </li><li>Fully committed to the Westminster Standards </li><li>Willing to serve in a church context that is biblically and theologically driven (not pragmatic or entertainment driven) </li></ul> <p>Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Humble and teachable </li><li>Servant-leader </li><li>Lover of people </li><li>Team player and willing to work with lay leadership </li><li>Outgoing and enjoys working with youth </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>To shepherd the youth of CPC in a covenantal context. </li><li>To come alongside CPC parents and provide resources, training, counsel, and support in the godly nurture of their covenant children. </li><li>To encourage the youth to fellowship and serve within the whole covenant community (intergenerational). </li><li>To teach the youth how to evaluate contemporary issues from a biblical perspective and reformational worldview. </li><li>To teach youth Sunday School and midweek study (Wednesday night). </li><li>To recruit and train volunteers to assist with the youth ministry of CPC. </li><li>To organize and oversee two major youth retreats per year (such as RYM and CPYC) for both senior and junior high. </li><li>To plan at minimum 6 fellowship events for the CPC youth throughout the year. </li><li>To pursue continuing education opportunities such as RYM's youth leadership training conference. </li><li>To develop a plan for the instruction of covenant children to prepare for the Lord's Table. </li><li>To assist in the leadership of corporate worship under the guidance of the senior pastor. </li><li>To preach expository sermons when the senior pastor is away (roughly 5 times per year) and receive sermon evaluations from the senior pastor. </li><li>To assist in hospital visitations when needed. </li><li>To attend session meetings and provide regular reports about youth ministry. </li><li>To assist in the administration of the sacraments when called upon by the senior pastor. </li><li>To conduct weddings and funerals when appropriate under the oversight of the senior pastor. </li><li>To assist with administrative tasks when needed under the guidance of senior pastor. </li><li>To attend Presbytery meetings unless providentially hindered. </li></ul> <p>Accountablity:</p> <ul> <li>The Assistant Pastor of Youth and Families is hired by the session and reports to the Senior Pastor. </li><li>Retention is based on faithfulness in youth and family ministry. </li></ul> <p>Salary: Undisclosed</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Ordained or seeking ordination in the PCA</p> <p>Fully committed to the Westminster Standards</p> <p>Willing to serve in a church context that is biblically and theologically driven (not pragmatic or entertainment driven)</p> <p>How to Apply</p> <p>Primary Contact: Logan Almy</p> <p>Email: loganalmy@att.net</p> <p>Phone: 7068710972</p> <p>Apply Online: View</p>
