<p>Job Title: Field Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Engineer to manage and supervise all laboratory operations, ensuring high-quality standards and effective project delivery. This role is integral in supporting our construction and geotechnical projects through rigorous testing and quality control of construction materials.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Manage and supervise all laboratory operations including scheduling, testing, reporting, and quality control. </li><li>Perform and oversee laboratory testing on construction materials such as soil, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete. </li><li>Ensure all laboratory testing complies with applicable standards. </li><li>Train and mentor lab technicians and junior staff. </li><li>Review and approve test results, data reports, and documentation. </li><li>Coordinate with field teams, clients, and project stakeholders to support ongoing construction and geotechnical projects. </li><li>Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient project delivery. </li><li>Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and uphold health and safety standards. </li><li>Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). </li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in construction materials testing with a focus on asphalt, soil, and concrete. </li><li>Strong knowledge of industry standards and testing protocols. </li><li>Certifications such as ACI, NICET, or state DOT certifications are highly preferred. </li><li>Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory management software. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous lab management or project management experience preferred. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This role involves working both in the field and in an office setting. A company vehicle is provided for necessary travel.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
