<p>White Deer Run, Bethlehem in Lehigh County is a leading Drug & Alcohol Addiction Rehab center which is committed to provide most comprehensive recovery programs for men and women who are struggling with substance abuse disorder and other mental health conditions. They empower each individual to heal and take an active role in their recovery journey by working together with their staff of therapists, social works, psychiatrists, etc. This center is part of The White Deer Run Treatment Network which offers 16 programs containing comprehensive continuum of treatment services for adults who are struggling with chemical dependency and certain co-occurring mental health disorders.</p> <p>Shift Details: Full time 10am-6:30pm. Will work every other weekend.</p> <p>PURPOSE STATEMENT:</p> <p>Under general direction, implement menus and coordinate food preparation and serve meals.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Cook and prepare food according to approved menus. </li><li>Direct activities of workers who assist in preparing and serving meals. </li><li>Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation. </li><li>Take inventory of supplies and equipment. </li><li>Work with Food Service leadership or Dietitian to ensure menus are varied, nutritionally balanced and appetizing. </li><li>Perform and coordinate food production, cleaning, maintenance, and inventory control activities. </li><li>Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, quality standards, cost parameters, and appropriate regulatory requirements. </li></ul> <p>OTHER FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Perform other functions and tasks as assigned. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred. </li><li>Additional education or training in the culinary field preferred. </li><li>Two or more years' experience in food service role in preparing food for institutions, such as school, hospital or cafeteria preferred.
