<p>Hiring Department</p> <p>Department of Medicine</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The University of Missouri-Columbia, Department of Medicine is seeking a Division Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology to provide strategic, clinical, academic, and administrative leadership for a growing division. This position is critical to the creation and advancement of a comprehensive Gastroenterology Academic Center, integrating excellence in clinical care, education, and research.</p> <p>The Division Chief will lead development of research, education, and clinical service, while building and strengthening specialized clinical and academic programs.</p> <p>The mission of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is to provide a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary approach to digestive health and to teach the art and science of gastroenterology to highly motivated and accomplished internists.</p> <p>The Missouri Digestive Health Center offers six lines of service with a specialized team of physicians, nurses, and researchers who are highly trained and dedicated to digestive health. These lines of service include: advanced and therapeutic endoscopy, colorectal cancer screening, liver diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases, neuromuscular and swallowing disorders, and nutritional sciences.</p> <p>Our physicians, nurses, and researchers are able to provide the best possible care to our patients by utilizing cutting edge technology, advanced research, and effective patient education.</p> <p>MU Health Care offers more than 50 primary and specialty clinics and a comprehensive system of six hospitals. Columbia is rated by Forbes as 5th best small place for business and careers in America and is consistently rated a top place to live by Money magazine. The city offers a low cost of living and excellent schools.</p> <p>All ranks available (assistant, associate, full professor) commensurate with experience.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>MD/DO</p> <p>BC in Gastroenterology</p> <p>Candidates will be evaluated on a demonstrated record of success in scholarship and patient care, and an aptitude for collaboration, innovation and program development. Experience in Academic Medicine and leadership are desirable.
