Here at St. Peter's Health Partners, we care for more people in more places than one.</p> <p>Position Highlights:</p> <ul> <li>Recognized leader: Magnet Hospital in the Capital Region </li><li>Quality of Life: Where career opportunities and quality of life converge </li><li>Advancement: Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career development </li></ul> <p>What you will do:</p> <p>Abiding by the Mercycare mission and values, and under the direction of the Chief of Medical Imaging, the MRI Technologist performs diagnostic MRI in accordance with departmental standards.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Obtains and records a complete clinical history pertinent to examination requested. </li><li>Evaluates requests for appropriateness; refers concerns to coordinator and/or radiologist. </li><li>Instructs patient as to nature of the exam being performed. </li><li>Effectively communicates with patient throughout exam being performed. </li><li>Follows established scan protocols or radiologist's special instructions. </li><li>Demonstrates appropriate use of equipment and accessories. </li><li>Selects appropriate technical factors for requested imaging exam. </li><li>Assists in instruction of student technologists and new personnel. </li><li>Demonstrates accurate positioning and insures patient comfort. </li><li>Demonstrates proper screening procedures for contraindication to MRI examination. </li><li>Ensures proper magnetic field safety at all times. </li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of all MRI emergency procedures. </li><li>Provides proper hearing protection to all patients and visitors. </li><li>Effectively completes all required documentation related to patient care, imaging procedures and RIS requirements. </li><li>Documents and reports all incidents, radiation safety concerns and equipment malfunctions to coordinator in a timely fashion. </li></ul> <p>What you will need:</p> <ul> <li>AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology </li><li>1 year CT and/or MRI experience </li><li>Current ARRT registration and NYS license required </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $34.50 - $51.10</p> <p>Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
