<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Overview:</p> <p>We are seeking a customer-focused Visitor Services Associate to provide excellent service, assist with retail operations, and manage ticket sales. If you are passionate about museums, enjoy interacting with people, and have a strong customer service background, we encourage you to apply and help create a memorable experience for our visitors.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Greet and assist museum guests attending events, ensuring excellent customer service and a welcoming atmosphere. </li><li>Sell or collect admission tickets, passes, and other memberships from patrons. </li><li>Provide information about museum exhibitions and programming to enhance the visitor experience. </li><li>Open and close the museum's portable ticket counter and shop, ensuring smooth operations and inventory management. </li><li>Assist with the setup and breakdown of exhibitions as needed. </li><li>Communicate merchandise and supply needs to management to ensure adequate stock for ongoing sales. </li><li>Direct patrons to exits, provide assistance in case of an emergency, and assist with special needs as required. </li><li>Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Visitor Services Manager or Director of Visitor Services. </li></ul> <p>Reports to:</p> <p>Visitor Services Manager or Director of Visitor Services</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent required. </li><li>Previous customer service and/or retail experience preferred. </li><li>Ability to operate a POS system and perform basic mathematical calculations. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with visitors and staff. </li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry up to 25lbs. </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and some evenings. </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations. </li></ul>
