<p>The position is responsible for assisting the School Business Administrator in maintaining the efficient operation of the School Business Office.</p> <p>Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Business or related field, and/or comparable work experience Proficient with Google Workspace; experience with Munis preferred Demonstrated skills in business relations and effective interpersonal communication Strong time management skills Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow through</p> <p>Job Goals: Supports business office activities inclusive of payroll and benefits management, accounts payable, budgeting and fiscal management, facilities, food services, transportation, and school security.</p> <p>Performance Responsibilities: Accounts Payable: Prepares accounts payable warrants on a weekly basis. Tracks purchase order aging and follows up on outstanding open purchase orders as necessary. Engages with vendors to ensure proper payment of services and materials; works with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies. Provides support to school staff regarding all aspects of purchasing and related software. Budget/Fiscal Management: Assist the School Business Administrator in the analysis, preparation and coordination of the annual budget Maintain file of all non-personnel related contracts Assist with the Medicaid Direct Service and Administrative Claim reimbursement process Assist the School Business Administrator in the maintenance of financial controls Assist the external auditors in the performance of fiscal and/or compliance audit Facilities: Maintain buildings and grounds inspection and preventative maintenance records Support facilities department in processing requisitions for services and materials Chart energy use and prepare quarterly reports. Maintain online facility use calendar ensuring approvals are in accordance with district policy Bill rental parties in accordance with district policy and follow-up as necessary Payroll & Benefits Management: Generate bi-weekly payroll Complete bi-weekly file uploads of retirement files Provide staff with benefit information as necessary Security: Maintain oversight of the district's building access system, including an inventory of the district's badge assignment Prepare new and replacement badges as needed Participate in district safety measures Other: Perform other duties as assigned by the School Business Administrator and/or Superintendent of Schools Maintain cooperative relationships with staff members, parents, residents and town employees</p> <p>Terms of Employment: Full year position 12 month, 0.8 FTE position, to begin January 2026, exact date to be determined 32 hours weekly, scheduled to be determined Benefits to be established by the Superintendent of Schools and by the School Committee</p> <p>Evaluation: Annually by the School Business Administrator. Reports to: School Business Administrator</p>
