<p>Nursing Unit Secretary</p> <p>Mother-Baby 3AB</p> <p>The Nursing Unit Secretary will:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the central focus of communication for the Patient-Care Unit </li><li>Coordinate the clerical functions of the Unit- assisting with charting, admissions and discharges, etc </li><li>Maintain organization within Nurse's station to promote an orderly workflow </li><li>Receive, sort, and organize all interdepartmental communications </li><li>Schedule and coordinate special patient appointments with other departments as directed by Health Care Team Members within an appropriate amount of time </li><li>Answer call bells and assisting as appropriate Answer a high volume of phone calls </li><li>Welcome and assist all visitors to the unit </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Work requires the ability to read and transcribe Physician orders. </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills essential. </li><li>Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of Hospital personnel, patients and visitors. </li><li>Good communication/phone skills required. </li></ul> <p>Salary Range: 17.30 - 23.36 USD</p> <p>We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data.
