You'll set the standards for quality care, manage patient activities, and collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and families to achieve excellent outcomes.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Participate in quality improvement efforts and use evidence-based practices. </li><li>Build positive relationships with all team members and patients. </li><li>Apply critical thinking and clinical judgment in patient care. </li><li>Teach and support patients, families, students, and new staff. </li><li>Formulate holistic care plans and assist physicians. </li><li>Communicate effectively and document patient care comprehensively. </li><li>Engage in professional development and shared governance. </li><li>Adapt to change and maintain a healthy work-life balance. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge and skills for age-specific patient care. </li><li>Minimum six months experience preferred; BSN preferred. </li><li>Current RN licensure or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP). </li><li>BLS or CPR certification required within 30 days of hire. </li><li>UPMC approved national certification preferred. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <ul> <li>Current RN licensure in the state or multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC). </li><li>Graduate nurses must complete licensure examination within six months of hire. </li><li>Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73. </li><li>Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state.
