As part of the Balls Food Stores family, we're proud to be backed by a locally owned company with a long-standing reputation for quality, service, and community impact.</p> <p>This is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants a role where their impact is seen every single day.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities & Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>Receive, unload, temperature-check, and inspect incoming deliveries for quality and accuracy </li><li>Verify shipments against invoices and purchase orders; quickly resolve discrepancies </li><li>Communicate professionally with vendors and delivery drivers to coordinate and troubleshoot deliveries </li><li>Safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks, balers, case cutters, and forklifts </li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and clearly labeled receiving area to support efficiency and safety </li><li>Stock, rotate, and face products using FIFO (first-in, first-out) practices </li><li>Monitor inventory levels and report low, damaged, or excess items </li><li>Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards </li><li>Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times </li><li>Support store operations during slower periods (stocking, cleaning, assisting other departments) </li><li>Build product knowledge to better support teammates and contribute to overall store success </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience </li><li>Required: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays </li><li>Preferred: Previous experience in grocery, retail, or food service environments </li></ul>
