The inaugural season will take place in Spring 2028, offering a unique opportunity to build a new program that will contribute to the growth and success of Lawrence Athletics.</p> <p>The Head Coach is responsible for the overall organization, development, and administration of the women's flag football program. This includes recruitment, student-athlete development, competitive success, and alignment with the academic mission of Lawrence University. The successful candidate will establish a strong team culture and serve as a mentor and role model for student-athletes both on and off the field.</p> <p>Lawrence is a proud member of the NCAA Division III and the Midwest Conference, competing with 24 varsity teams across multiple affiliations. The addition of women's flag football expands Lawrence's commitment to offering a broad-based athletics experience for scholar-athletes.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Recruit and retain student-athletes who are prepared to succeed academically and athletically at Lawrence University. </li><li>Be familiar with and abide by NCAA and Lawrence University rules, regulations, and policies. </li><li>Plan, organize, and execute all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III women's flag football program. </li><li>Develop and manage an independent competitive schedule, building relationships with peer institutions and pursuing future conference opportunities. </li><li>Conduct practice sessions that emphasize skill development, fundamentals, safety, and team culture. </li><li>Support the academic progress of student-athletes by monitoring performance and ensuring accountability throughout the academic year. </li><li>Prepare and oversee a zero-based operational budget, ensuring fiscal accountability. </li><li>Work with the Compliance Director to maintain student-athlete eligibility and adherence to NCAA regulations. </li><li>Coordinate team travel, including transportation, lodging, and meal arrangements. </li><li>Manage the purchase, issuance, and inventory of team equipment and uniforms. </li><li>Collaborate with athletic trainers, sports information staff, and other campus partners. </li><li>Enhance professional growth through clinics, workshops, and professional development opportunities. </li><li>Assist with game day management of assigned sport. </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of successful coaching experience. </li><li>Established recruiting based. </li><li>Bachelor's degree required. </li><li>Master's degree preferred. </li><li>First aid and AED certification needed prior to conducting athletics related activities. </li><li>Must have successful completion of criminal and MVR background check, meet University Authorized Driver Policy requirements, and favorable completion of reference checks. </li></ul> <p>Materials to submit for full consideration.</p> <ul> <li>Resume </li><li>Cover letter </li><li>3 Professional References </li></ul> <p>Posting Detail Information</p> <p>Posting Number S618P Number of Vacancies 1 Posting Date Best Consideration Date Close Date Open Until Filled Yes Special Instructions Summary Anticipated Number of Hours per Week 40</p>
