<p>Job Description:</p> <p>BASIC FUNCTION:</p> <p>This position is a full-time, 12-month non-tenure track role with the title of Lecturer, Graduate Nursing. Faculty in this role must possess the following skills and attributes: classroom management skills, organizational and research skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and strong clinical and professional skills.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>The Lecturer, Graduate Nursing faculty member performs the following essential functions: </li><li>Maintaining a full-time course load (3/3/3) during the 12-month academic contract year. This faculty member will predominantly teach in the Graduate Nursing program but may teach in other nursing areas based on the department's needs and the applicant's expertise. </li><li>Constructing and maintaining course content through the university learning management system (LMS). </li><li>Engaging in service both at the University level and in the Nursing and Graduate Department levels. </li><li>Advising and mentoring (primarily) graduate nursing students. </li><li>Participating in continual professional development and the nursing education profession. </li><li>Attend regular University, department, and program meetings to ensure a collaborative and cohesive work environment. </li><li>Collaborate with the Program Director, Student Success team, and the Clinical Coordinators, as needed. </li><li>Functions as a lead faculty for assigned courses. Plans, monitors, and evaluates the instruction provided by Adjunct Faculty, assisting with any aspect of the course. </li><li>Maintains practice hours within advanced practice healthcare. </li><li>Participates in preparing accreditation, course, and curriculum reviews as needed. </li><li>Provides the evaluation of students in both didactic and clinical courses. </li><li>Participates in peer evaluations when requested. </li><li>Reviews student evaluation summaries of assigned courses and utilizes the feedback for planning and implementing future courses. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>WORK CONDITIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Performing duties, attending events outside of normally scheduled work hours occasionally occur and may be required. </li><li>Incumbents may be exposed to frequent noise caused by telephones, office machines, and nearby oral communications among university personnel and/or students. </li><li>Any additional area-specific requirements </li><li>Computer work to offer distance learning education </li><li>Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, move from one area to the building to another on a regular basis, sit and use a computer for a long period of time. </li><li>Manual and physical dexterity is needed to operate a computer keyboard and handle paper documents. </li><li>Sufficient near vision acuity to read information appearing on computer display screen, in hand-written forms, and printed on paper. </li><li>Adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person, virtually on computer monitor, and by telephone. </li><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. </li></ul> <p>Required Work Hours</p> <p>A minimum of forty hours per week, plus other hours as may be necessary to complete job duties. A combination of day, evening, and weekend hours is required.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Candidates for the position must satisfy the following minimum qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>DNP or PhD in nursing required from an ACEN or CCNE -accredited institution. </li><li>APRN with national certification from ANCC, AANP, or appropriate national certification body </li><li>Family Nurse Practitioner and/or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license required.
