Ready to be a part of something meaningful?</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Pediatric Dietitian Specialist is a New Hampshire-Licensed Registered Dietitian serving children and youth with a variety of nutritional and feeding difficulties. Services are offered to children from birth to age 21 as part of a state-wide network that is funded by a NH DHHS Bureau for Family Centered Services contract. Program Services include evaluation, follow-up services, enteral nutrition and formula recommendations, diet modifications for schools, and coordination with other care team members.</p> <p>PER DIEM - Hybrid Flexibility | Will require travel throughout the state</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Obtain, evaluate and interpret the components of the comprehensive nutrition assessment, including medical and social histories, medications and nutrition-drug interactions. </li><li>Review and evaluate past and current anthropometric data. </li><li>Identify energy, protein, fluid and nutrient requirements. </li><li>Identify and interpret physical, psychosocial, cultural and economic environment as it relates to nutritional status. </li><li>Set measurable nutrition goals. Monitor effectiveness and modify or revise nutrition interventions as needed. </li><li>Provide nutrition counseling and/or education materials to meet individual medical, physical, cultural and psychosocial needs of children with special health care needs and their families. </li><li>Provides consultation to other medical professionals in the management of the Medical Nutrition Therapy. </li><li>Submits timely and complete documentation to support billing and reimbursement of all services. </li><li>Maintains patient and family confidentiality. Complies with HIPAA security and privacy regulations as outlined by the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate Degree from a USDE-recognized accredited institution (or equivalent), completion of ACEND[1]accredited program coursework, and ACEND-accredited program supervised practice. </li><li>Credentialed with CDR and have an active New Hampshire license in the field. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years experience as an RD/RDN, pediatric experience preferred. Special consideration to those with experience with children with special healthcare needs. </li><li>Verifiable good driving record and reliable transportation. Must be willing and able to travel statewide if necessary. </li><li>Has proficiency with Microsoft Office products and the technical acuity to learn and master other technology solutions, including an EMR. Able to operate office equipment. </li><li>Interacts effectively with people of varied educations, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems. </li><li>Obtain an NPI number. </li></ul>
