At Ideal Tridon, whether it's the performance of our products or the responsiveness of our service, connections are at the heart of what we do.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Preventive Maintenance Tech is responsible for performing PMs and cleaning activities on assigned equipment in the components department.</p> <p>Responsibility and Authority:</p> <ul> <li>Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). </li><li>Assure compliance to all required industry standards and government requirements as stated in the Ideal-Tridon Quality Manual, Quality Management System, process documentation and all Company Human Resources, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines to ensure customer requirements are met. </li><li>Responsibility and authority to shutdown machine operation when quality, safety, or environmental issue arise. The operator will notify the supervisor, lead, or other appropriate manager. </li><li>When operating a fork lift, has the responsibility and authority to remove the equipment from service in accordance with EHS-20-0042. Notification will be made to the Maintenance Department. </li><li>Maintain and protect all company, supplier, and customer proprietary and confidential information. </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>PM Washroom, press shop, and screw shop equipment according to weekly schedules or when notified by the supervisor. </li><li>Order, label, and store all oils, soaps and machine sludge in the appropriate manner. </li><li>Empty Trash Hoppers and the cardboard recycle bin located in components area as needed. </li><li>Clean around the outside trash compactor once a week. </li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area. </li><li>Remove broken skids and scrap wood from the Press Shop, deliver to the scrap wood bin. </li><li>Assist the scrap coordinator with scrap collection when needed. </li><li>Run the floor scrubber twice a week. </li><li>Clean and paint scrap hoppers as needed. </li><li>Proper disposal of empty oil containers. </li><li>Maintain good housekeeping in work areas; Clean all doors and guards inside and out, and wipe down outside of conveyor and grease all fittings. Inform operator that PM is finished. </li><li>Bi-weekly PM instructions; PM check sheets; Labor tickets; Quality Policy, Environmental Policy, and HSE Website. Understand the process of containing nonconforming product and writing a RID. </li><li>Identify/remove slip, trip, and fall hazards; Understand PPE requirements; Machine guarding; LOTO procedures. </li><li>Ensure compliance with Quality Management System and Environmental Management System. </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent education and experience. </li><li>Minimum one year stand up/sit-down forklift background. </li><li>Prefer one year of related factory experience. </li><li>Ability to use industrial equipment including: forklift, totes, pumping equipment, hoppers, rakes, shovels, saws, cleaning material, power washer , ladders, gloves, safety glasses, etc. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Utilize both hands and arms to drive forklift. </li><li>Use rake and shovel frequently to empty totes and clean area. </li><li>Safely lift up to 50 pounds in conjunction with bending, twisting, grasping, reaching, stooping and trunk turning motions. </li><li>Must have adequate vision to handle and operate forklift equipment and to read and understand written instructions </li><li>Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and/or sitting and reaching with hands and arms. </li><li>May occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment. </li><li>Work in various environmental conditions, which may include exposure to dust, noise, and chemicals. </li></ul> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, genetic information, or any other status protected by law or regulation.
