<p>This position is located in the Environmental Management Service at the Tomah, Wisconsin VA Medical Center.</p> <p>Major duties:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible to clean and disinfect assigned areas utilizing the proper chemicals and equipment. </li><li>Cleaning walls, doors, door frames, floors, window sills, blinds, beds/bed frames, fixtures, and furniture, with emphasis on high touch surface areas. </li><li>Polish metals, change shower, cubical and window curtains. </li><li>Scrubs, strips, and applies floor sealers and finishes using powered buffers and scrubbers. </li><li>Empties all waste and trash receptacles including regulated medical waste, chemotherapy, pathological waste, appropriate hazardous waste, as needed. </li><li>Disinfects and refills containers for soap and hygiene dispensers. </li><li>Cleans porcelain and chrome fixtures in bath and shower rooms. </li><li>Effectively plan daily schedule in order to accomplish routine cleaning, which may include cleaning patient care and/or administration areas of the facility. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule: Full time, 7:00am-3:30pm, Rotating Holidays and weekends.</p> <p>Position Description Title/PD#: Environmental Services Technician/PD99009-S</p>
