<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>This is an internal posting for current VR employees only.</p> <p>In this position you will be responsible for the following:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and facilitate local training for all staff members to ensure implementation and coordination of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) performance measures. </li><li>Coordinate training for all staff on a regular basis in the interpretation and implementation of Consumer Services Policy, including the application and eligibility process, vocational assessment, disability management, training and job search/placement assistance to ensure area office success. </li><li>In coordination with the Area Supervisor, assume responsibility of a vacant caseload. </li><li>In coordination with your team, assist with providing services, such as training and employment opportunities, for transition students. </li><li>Serve as a member of the local area management team to assist in the development, implementation, and execution of a strategic plan to meet the needs of the area office and job readiness training center, consumers and businesses. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree and attainment of the CSPD state standard for counselors, with a minimum of five years related experience. </li><li>Four years of vocational rehabilitation experience in consumer service delivery and employer/job placement activities. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of psychological, educational and developmental needs of educationally, socially or psychologically impaired individuals. </li><li>Knowledge of individual and group counseling techniques. </li><li>Knowledge of Agency policies and procedures. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. </li><li>Ability to supervise employees. </li><li>Ability to present clear an comprehensive oral and written reports. </li><li>Ability to organize and maintain a caseload as necessary. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively. </li></ul> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions, including, but not limited, to lactation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.</p> <p>The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department offers an exceptional benefits package for FTE positions that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Health, Dental, Vision, Long Term Disability, and Life Insurance for Employee, Spouse, and Children </li><li>Paid parental leave </li><li>Flexible work schedules </li><li>15 days annual (vacation) leave per year </li><li>15 days sick leave per year </li><li>13 paid holidays </li><li>State Retirement Plan and Deferred Compensation Programs </li></ul> <p>South Carolina is making our veterans a priority for employment in state agencies and institutions.
