Applications without all required materials are incomplete and will not be considered.</p> <p>Position Information</p> <p>Position Information</p> <p>Position Number 620070 Working Title Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations Job Title Director Job Type Full-Time Department VP for Univ Advancement Office Job Purpose</p> <p>Coordinate and direct the University's Corporate and Foundation Relations Program, the principal aim of which is to engage corporate partners and to secure philanthropic and other support from corporations and foundations.</p> <p>Tennessee Tech is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>Manage the University's Corporate and Foundation Relations Program by identifying, cultivating, and soliciting corporations and foundations to philanthropically support the University. Work proactively with directors of development and other campus partners to engage corporations and foundations through intentional outreach and careful follow-up. Prepare, revise (as appropriate), and implement an annual program of work that includes specific goals and metrics. Develop and maintain working relationships with faculty and staff in the University's colleges, schools, or departments; secure their assistance and leverage their efforts to advance philanthropic opportunities with corporations and foundations. Secure significant philanthropic support for the University through personal and written proposals, as appropriate. This includes follow-up on declined proposals to gain counsel/direction regarding the possibility of a subsequent ask.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Five years of general fundraising or sales experience. Strong relationship building skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A record of success working with corporate or foundation partners resulting in positive growth. Evidence of conducting follow up in a timely manner. Adaptability to changing circumstances. Ability to travel extensively.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Advanced degree from an accredited institution. Higher education experience. Campaign experience. Previous work in a similarly situated Corporate and Foundation Relations role in philanthropy.</p> <p>Work Hours</p> <p>Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Additional hours when needed, as this position requires extensive travel.</p> <p>Compensation and Benefits</p> <p>Salary Commensurate with education and experience. Pay grade 14. Benefits Information</p> <p>The University offers a competitive benefits package. Benefits include the accumulation of two vacation days per month and one sick leave day per month, and thirteen (13) University holidays.
