<p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>The team member functions as both an advocate for the team and the customer, being responsible for audit and checking of all materials received as returns from the customer to ensure the correct materials have been received. Position requires problem solving, which can include reviewing engineering drawings, use of inspection tools, and working with cross functional teams to establish root cause analysis and corrective actions for possible internal errors that were shipped and received by the customer. Maintain accurate inventory records and perform inventory transactions.</p> <p>PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Follow written and/or verbal instructions and perform dimensional inspections using measurement and test equipment such as: micrometer, caliper, dial indicator, height gage, profilometer, bore gage, gage blocks, surface plate, plug gage, thread gage, and hardness tester.</p> <ul> <li>Evaluate customer and/or distributor returned materials to determine root cause of non-conformities. Prepare reports and update SAP accordingly. </li><li>Communiate findings cross-functionally with Customer Service, Supplier Quality, Product Engineering, and other affected departments. </li><li>Verify and count returned materials received to assure that shipping papers and materials match and work to resolve discrepancies. </li><li>Restock returned material in the appropriate inventory location. </li><li>Update inventory records and necessary reports. </li><li>Receive and verify all returned goods, update SAP, add any line text if needed based on damages or changes, and send parts to specified department. </li><li>Communicate across departments to identify and help resolve inventory discrepancies, provide quality updates and other information as needed. </li><li>Evaluate purchased and machined components for pumps, valves, heat exchangers, homogenizers and end items for conformance to drawing specifications. </li><li>Investigate customer complaints, focusing on containment and root causes/corrective actions. </li><li>Assist in production or material handling part identification investigations. </li><li>Comply with all quality, safety regulations, and procedures (ISO 9001). </li><li>With minimum supervision, apply knowledge and experience to solve problems to ensure product quality. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as engineering drawings. </li><li>Ability to write or edit documentation such as SOP's, procedures and work instructions. </li><li>Able to manage multiple priorities and/or projects. </li><li>Must have working knowledge in the use of measurement tools which can include micrometers, calipers, and other related equipment. </li><li>Good communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills. </li><li>Ability to verbally and electronically communicate effectively with others. </li><li>Ability to become certified to operate material-handling equipment (such as forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.) </li><li>Ability to understand and use basic math skills in addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li>A high school diploma or equivalent preferred with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience </li><li>Computer knowledge is required: SAP, MS Word, Excel. </li><li>Experience using basic inspection tools required. </li></ul> <p>COMPETENCIES</p> <p>Aligning Performance for Success</p> <p>Focusing and guiding others in accomplishing work objectives.</p> <p>Building a Successful Team</p> <p>Using appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build a cohesive team; facilitating the completion of team goals.</p> <p>Building Trust</p> <p>Interacting with others in a way that gives them confidence in one's intentions and those of the organization.</p> <p>Coaching and Developing Others</p> <p>Providing feedback, instruction, and development guidance to help others excel in their current or future job responsibilities; planning and supporting the development of individual skills and responsibilities.</p> <p>Communication</p> <p>Clearly and succinctly conveying information and ideas to individuals and groups in a variety of situations; communicating in a focused and compelling way that drives others' thoughts and actions. The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
