The CoS will lead cross-functional collaboration, manage strategic initiatives, coordinate board governance, and represent the CEO in both internal and external matters.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strategic Leadership & Organizational Alignment</p> </li><li> <p>Drive ICEF's strategic priorities in partnership with the CEO</p> </li><li> <p>Lead Cabinet and Leadership Team structures for high-impact collaboration</p> </li><li> <p>Develop internal systems for strategic planning, goal-tracking, and decision-making</p> </li><li> <p>Represent the CEO in key meetings and lead special initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>Board Governance & Development</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee board operations, compliance, and development</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare board materials and support fiduciary planning</p> </li><li> <p>External Engagement & Development</p> </li><li> <p>Manage CEO's stakeholder relationships and support fundraising</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare materials for donor briefings and external advocacy</p> </li><li> <p>Communications & Culture</p> </li><li> <p>Lead internal communication systems that connect strategy to action</p> </li><li> <p>Design tools for knowledge sharing and cross-functional clarity</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree </li><li>8+ years of progressive leadership in education, policy, consulting, or nonprofits </li><li>Experience working directly with senior executives or boards </li><li>Strategic planning, project management, and facilitation expertise </li><li>Strong EQ, communication skills, and cross-functional leadership </li><li>Demonstrated commitment to equity and anti-racism </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in education, public policy, organizational leadership, or related field </li><li>Experience in a Chief of Staff or executive leadership role </li><li>Charter management or K-12 leadership experience </li><li>Experience managing board governance and compliance </li><li>Change management and system design expertise </li><li>Knowledge of LA education and political landscape </li></ul> <p>Compensation & Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Starting salary: $165,000+ </li><li>Full health, vision, and dental coverage </li><li>403(b) retirement plan with employer match </li><li>Generous PTO and holiday schedule </li></ul> <p>ICEF if an equal opportunity employer</p>
