We offer 100% vertical integration capabilities such as end-to-end engineering, manufacturing, and in-house logistics.</p> <p>We're proud of our Tier 1 supplier legacy for manufacturing propulsion-agnostic, structural automotive components, and assemblies around the globe.</p> <p>To help us drive excellence, you'll get to:</p> <ul> <li>Support the Company's mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities. </li><li>Provide key input into the development of the department strategy and goals along with identifying and tracking key measurable to support the business plan goals. </li><li>Provide direction and leadership to department colleagues consistent with plant and department business plan goals. </li><li>Responsible for overall coordination and communication within department. </li><li>Responsible for ensuring accountability and discipline within department. </li><li>Maintain maximum levels of production utilization and efficiency. </li><li>Drive and oversee corresponding root cause analysis and corrective actions. </li><li>Direct efforts of warehouse activities. </li><li>Coordinate/assess required training and team building (i.e. forklift, training, etc.). </li><li>Participate in New Hire Orientation. </li><li>Track, monitor and implement required improvement activities related to goals, issues, etc. </li><li>Assist in colleague development and implementation of warehouse related training. </li><li>Oversee the activities of the warehouse and coordinate shipping docks to effectively support plant operations. </li><li>Evaluate department manning levels, assure compliance and improvements to the budget and make recommendations to the Materials Manager and HR. </li><li>Assure all inventory control procedures are strictly adhered to. </li><li>Complete individual work team performance reviews and provide mentoring, coaching and development for colleagues. </li><li>Coordinate the movement of all materials to and from warehouse. </li><li>Assure all incoming products are received from vendors and reported into QAD with correct bar code labels. </li><li>Assure all outgoing finished products are shipped on time to avoid premium freight costs and shipped with appropriate bar code tags. </li><li>Drive and participate in team problem solving activities and process improvement activities (ex. 8 D Reporting, Kaizen, etc.). </li><li>Support plant activities towards achieving customer awards and quality registrations (ex. TS 16949, Gold Pentastar etc.) </li><li>Assist with plant activities to achieve quality, productivity, and cost reduction goals. </li><li>Review all accident reports for identification of root cause and corrective action. </li></ul> <p>This full-time role is a part of our Materials team and reports to the Materials Manager on 2nd shift.</p> <p>Required experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience. </li><li>Minimum of six (6) years' experience in shipping/receiving and/or warehouse management, and one (1) year of management experience. </li><li>Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills. </li><li>Strong computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office software. </li><li>Root cause/problem-solving ability. </li><li>Familiar with Just-In-Time concept. </li><li>Experience in using a lift truck. </li><li>Understand inventory control procedures. </li><li>Ability to work well with others in a team environment. </li><li>Proficient with SMART and DDL. </li><li>Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations. </li></ul> <p>Working conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Duties include but are not limited to: stand, walk, twist, bend, lift, see, talk, and hear.
