<p>Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Virtualization Systems Administrator to support a complex, multi-site IT infrastructure based in Fairfax, Virginia. This role is centered around Windows and Red Hat Linux-based High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters and includes support for secure lab environments, classified networks, and future integration of embedded Linux systems like VxWorks.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Design and implement secure system architectures using best practices in software and systems engineering </li><li>Provide end-to-end IT support across desktops, servers, and virtualized environments </li><li>Manage system access, patching, and hardware/software release planning </li><li>Administer and maintain Linux (RHEL) and Windows systems </li><li>Troubleshoot complex system issues and automate tasks using scripting (e.g., PowerShell) </li><li>Support classified networks and ensure compliance with RMF/JSIG security standards </li><li>Integrate and maintain applications and infrastructure in secure environments </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (CI Poly within the last 5 years) </li><li>Experience supporting the Maryland Intelligence Customer </li><li>5+ years of experience supporting lab/test environments and classified networks </li><li>Strong background in Linux and Windows OS installation, configuration, and troubleshooting </li><li>Hands-on experience with IT hardware, networking equipment, and HPC systems </li><li>The ability to stand up virtual Linux environments </li><li>Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months) </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Deep experience with RHEL, Windows Server/Desktop, VMware, and Active Directory </li><li>Experience with Embedded Linux </li><li>Familiarity with Group Policy Objects (GPOs), PowerShell scripting, and Agile methodologies </li><li>Experience with system backups, patching, and COTS software </li><li>Knowledge of RMF/JSIG compliance and secure system integration </li></ul> <p>Compensation:</p> <ul> <li>Salary: $140,000 - $205,000 (based on experience and education) </li><li>Benefits: Comprehensive package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), 20 days paid time off, 11 federal holidays, and sick leave </li></ul> <p>Application Period: Opens on 07/14/2025, and will be accepted for at least 30 days from the posting date</p> <p>#LI-NJ1</p> <p>#LI-Onsite</p>
