<p>Compensation:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive pay/Weekly pay ($20 - $30 HR based on experience) </li><li>Health, dental, vision, and life insurance available, plus ancillaries </li><li>Paid vacation and paid holidays </li><li>Short-term disability </li><li>401K plus Match </li><li>Our on-staff Nurse Practitioner is available 24/7 to answer your health questions and keep you in great health. </li><li>Employee discounts on parts, services, and vehicle purchases </li><li>Paid training and continuing education </li></ul> <p>Heavy Truck Technician Duties:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Repairing Trucks right the first time.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs all warranty and non-warranty inspection, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work.</p> </li><li> <p>Diagnoses the cause of any malfunction and performs repair.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to communicate with vendors to order parts needed to complete the job, keep parts organized and paperwork straight to apply to each repair order.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates with managers to ensure that maintenance is being taken care of in accordance with Federal Laws and regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with the manager immediately if additional work is needed, if the work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.</p> </li><li> <p>Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.</p> </li><li> <p>Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures that vehicle is kept clean.</p> </li><li> <p>Keeps shop area neat and clean.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains and is accountable for all company-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received.</p> </li><li> <p>Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Operates all tools and equipment safely.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>CDL Recommended</p> </li><li> <p>Prior experience as a technician</p> </li><li> <p>Basic knowledge of Heavy truck electronic components, theory, systems, and testing tools procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Skill in diagnosing and repairing all key heavy truck systems and components.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of the proper procedures for using tools and equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of proper procedures for handling hazardous materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to read and interpret R/Os</p> </li><li> <p>Basic writing skills(to record work performed and recommended future service requirements on R/Os)</p> </li></ul>
