<p>To install, maintain, service and support all County telecommunications hardware, equipment, peripherals, and enterprise applications, while adhering to best practices and license requirements to preserve business continuity.</p> <p>Position Information:</p> <p>Department: Information Management Technology Office (IMTO)</p> <p>Sub-Department: Systems and Development</p> <p>Pay Grade: 111</p> <p>Salary: $55,867.50</p> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p> <p>Employment Status: Full-Time</p> <p>Reports to: IT Manager - Systems and Development</p> <p>Supervises: N/A</p> <p>All current county employees will follow the promotion/demotion policy.</p> <p>This job is onsite in Carlisle, PA with a hybrid work option available after a successful probationary period.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Installs, troubleshoots, maintains & provides technical support for various Video Teleconference Systems related equipment & projects, including but not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p>Enterprise level Video Teleconference systems</p> </li><li> <p>Supports Public and internal meetings with VTC systems as directed.</p> </li><li> <p>Regularly checks, upgrades and maintains VTC systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages VTC Systems lifecycle, projects, installations.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with Cisco VoIP/Unified Communications, and other integrated systems</p> </li><li> <p>Voice Telephony Systems, voicemail, voice network lines and related hardware</p> </li><li> <p>Fax Server systems, applications, and workflows</p> </li><li> <p>Establishes performance baselines, corrects system errors, monitors, and maintains disk space, memory usage and overall performance for all Video Teleconference systems</p> </li><li> <p>Responds quickly to notifications of outages, warnings of all VTC/telephony systems, both from network monitor and management</p> </li><li> <p>Manages accounts, purchases and inventory of video conferencing systems, telephone, and unified communications</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with emergency notification system in coordination with Security/Sheriff</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with functionality of E911 related services to telephony equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Develops, updates, and maintains contingency documentation and provides training to internal IMTO employees and County employees to leverage technology.</p> </li><li> <p>Works directly alongside the IT Telecommunications Systems Administrator in a team based, collaborative environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Works with IT Manager and vendors to ensure contracts, maintenance and warranties are properly implemented</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares, audits, and requests payments for County phone bills</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluates, recommends, tests, and implements new technologies / products to improve service levels</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates purchases and projects with vendors and customers</p> </li><li> <p>Administers network accounts access and user privileges</p> </li><li> <p>Answers phones for department when needed</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with Elections support of hardware or software.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other related duties and assignments as required.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements to Perform the Work:</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred. </li><li>Associates degree or 5-10 years of work experience in technical support / information technology will be considered. </li><li>Microsoft, Cisco, or CompTIA Certifications a plus. </li></ul> <p>Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>2-4 years' work experience in technical support / information technology. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to speak in public setting.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work effectively with several levels of government officials, agencies, external agencies, and staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess the ability to work independently, have flexibility, and work with little supervision within a team environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess initiative and problem-solving skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess the ability to teach, coach, and interact with both novice and advanced system users in one-on-one and group setting.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, current operating systems and networking.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess ability to maintain confidentiality regarding work-related information and records.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to comprehend and speak the English language in an understandable manner in order to carry out essential functions of job.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Must possess valid driver's license with a clean driving record and travel occasionally between County facilities or other locations as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical & Mental Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Must possess the ability to record, convey and present information, explain procedures and follow instructions. </li><li>Must be able to sit for long periods throughout the workday, with intermittent periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting and reaching necessary to carry out duties of job. </li><li>Dexterity requirements range from simple to coordinated movements of fingers/hands; feet/legs; torso necessary to carry out duties of job. </li><li>Sedentary to medium work, with occasional lifting/carrying of objects with a maximum weight of fifty (50) pounds. </li><li>Must demonstrate emotional stability, pay close attention to details and concentrate on work. </li><li>Must be able to cope with the physical and mental stress of the position. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Works indoors in adequate workspace, lighting, ventilation and temperatures. </li><li>Normal exposure to noise, disruption and stress. </li><li>Normal indoor exposure to dust/dirt. </li><li>Travel occasionally to perform job duties. </li></ul>
