<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a System Admin/Senior System Admin in Fulton, MD.</p> <p>In this role, you will work with Windows and some Linux systems and closely with Azure and AWS cloud platforms:</p> <ul> <li>Virtualization: VMware </li><li>Cloud: Azure and AWS </li><li>Active Directory & Group Policy </li><li>Automation: Scripting for process automation </li><li>Backup/Disaster Recovery: Rubrik </li><li>Collaboration: SharePoint </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for managing a variety of systems including databases, servers, backups, disaster recovery, and mission-critical machines; Experience with networking, monitoring and alert applications is also important to help ensure system uptime and reliability </li><li>Administer and maintain enterprise systems, including user account provisioning and lifecycle management </li><li>Manage and secure AWS tenants, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity protocols </li><li>Provide technical support for expired accounts, replication issues, and operational disruptions </li><li>Collaborate with cybersecurity, operations, and managed services teams to implement system upgrades and standard changes </li><li>Document system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures </li><li>Perform routine O&M checks to ensure server, system, and network health </li><li>Apply server patches and system updates regularly </li><li>Remediate system and network vulnerabilities </li><li>Monitor systems and configure alerts to maintain uptime </li><li>Administer and maintain backup and disaster recovery processes (Rubrik) </li><li>SQL replication </li><li>Perform regular SQL backups and restorations and ensure compliance with data retention policies* 5+ years of experience as a Windows Systems Administrator </li><li>Strong understanding of AWS infrastructure and security best practices </li><li>Proficiency in SQL Server replication </li><li>Experience with ITIL-based workflows and ticketing systems </li><li>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills </li><li>Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams </li><li>Collaborative, positive, and respectful team player </li><li>Self-directed and capable of managing time and responsibilities with minimal supervision </li><li>Understands organizational structure and works effectively within it </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory):</p> <ul> <li>Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or CompTIA Security+ </li><li>Experience in agile environments and cross-functional collaboration. </li></ul>
