<p>Preschool Classroom Assistant - Summit Preschool (25-26 School Year) Waterloo Local School</p> <p>Be a part of the Summit ESC & Join our Preschool Team!</p> <p>If you are passionate about supporting young learners and helping them thrive in a nurturing, playful environment? Summit ESC is looking for dedicated Preschool Classroom Assistants to join our team serving children with special education needs!</p> <p>Term: 2025-26 school year; Monday - Thursday; 28 hours per week</p> <p>Qualifications and Possible Job Duties Include:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma </li><li>Previous experience with early childhood children (preschool or kindergarten), early childhood training preferred </li><li>Previous experience with working with children disabilities preferred </li><li>Successful completion of all pre-employment screenings </li><li>Alternatives to the above as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable </li><li>Support the preschool teacher in supervising children during playground time, restrooms, hallways, snack/lunch, gross motor activities, and bus routines </li><li>Help create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment </li><li>Assist in the preparing teacher-made instructional materials </li><li>Set up and clean up classroom centers (art, music, housekeeping, blocks, puzzles, and more) </li><li>Help preschool children with daily living skills including removing coat, zipping, buttoning, tying shoes, and toileting </li><li>All other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Deadline: Until filled</p> <p>Our assistants enjoy the following perks:</p> <ul> <li>4 day work weeks plus 1 paid training day per month </li><li>Payment into State Employment Retirement System (SERS) </li><li>Sick leave and personal time </li><li>Annuity and deferral options (i.e., 403b or 457 accounts) </li><li>Monthly discounts with Verizon and local businesses </li></ul> <p>Job Type: Part-time</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Employee Assistance Program </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Retirement plan </li></ul> <p>The Summit County Educational Service Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>
