May require TIG welding.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Clean and Polish stainless-steel slides and other products </li><li>Grinds, files, or sands surfaces of metal items, specifically stainless-steel slides, but may work on other products or metals </li><li>May require TIG welding </li><li>Will use hand tools, power tools, and knowledge of metal finishing techniques: Examines and feels surface of metal to detect defects, such as dents, scratches, or breaks in metal. </li><li>Removes dents, using hammer and dolly block, and fills uneven surface with molten solder. </li><li>Smooths surface of item to specified finish, using hand tools and powered tools. </li><li>May polish metal surface, using powered polishing wheel or belt. </li></ul> <p>ATTRIBUTES</p> <ul> <li>High Attention to Detail </li><li>Appreciation of quality and artist finish </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Must Have knowledge of Finishes #2, #3, and mirror finish. </li><li>TIG Welding experience preferred. </li><li>Must be able to work with minimal supervision. </li><li>5 to 7 years of prior experience as a Stainless Steel Finisher in any industry. </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs independently on a regular basis. </li><li>Must pass a skills and quality test prior to hiring. </li></ul> <p>This position description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
