The Water Division ensures a safe and reliable water supply for all of Orange County Utilities¿ customers. The Water Division operates four regional water supply facilities and eight satellite water supply facilities that collectively produce approximately 71 million gallons per day.</p> <p>The Water Division is seeking a highly qualified Utilities Services Specialist.This position will be responsible for overseeing stockroom, supply and inventory processes and operations.Work is performed under limited supervision and is reviewed for compliance with division objectives and policies for achievement of desired results.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>General Functions:</p> <p>Performs responsible utilities work associated with handling of customers and municipalities. Responsible for answering program hotline calls and/or field visits to customers. Investigates and resolves field problems. Researches, compiles and analyzes data for use in reports and meetings. Based on area of responsibility may be responsible for schools presentations for the program specified by the department. Programs could include recycling, mandatory refuse, water conservation or water reuse. Work requires independent judgment under the supervision of a designated supervisor.</p> <p>Representative Duties/Assignments:</p> <p>Below is the list of potential duties. The specific responsibilities will depend on the area of assignment and may only include some of those listed.</p> <ul> <li>Develops, implements and evaluates methods and procedures for the storage and issuance of parts, supplies, materials and equipment stock items. </li><li>Develops and implements measures to protect stock items from loss, damage or deterioration. </li><li>Collaborates with vendors to identify and resolve receiving discrepancies, ensuring timely procurement of goods. </li><li>Acts as a team leader for temporary staff, overseeing workflow and providing guidance and task coordination. </li><li>Responsible for records management. Ensures timely and accurate handling of paperwork, including supply requisitions, work orders, deliveries, vendor invoices, and other related documentation. </li><li>Utilizes Maximo to create and track supply requisitions, manage inventory levels, and monitor stock movement. </li><li>Provides customer service during pickup and delivery, engaging with vendors and staff at all levels to ensure procedural compliance. </li><li>Conducts weekly cycle counts to ensure accuracy. Maintains bin locations and overflow areas to support optimal stock levels. </li><li>Keeps the stockroom clean, organized, and free of safety violations. </li><li>Prepares and stages orders to support daily operations </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Graduation with an Associate's degree and two (2) years of experience managing stockroom operations; or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.</p> <p>May require a valid Florida Driver's License within six months of hire.
