<p>This position is for the Residency Director of Podiatry at the William S. Middleton VA Memorial hospital in Madison, WI. As the residency director in Podiatry, you have the authority and accountability for the operations of the program to comply with standards as set by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Residency Director Duties:</p> </li><li> <p>Specialty expertise and documented education and administration experience acceptable for carrying out the responsibilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee and ensure the quality of didactic and clinical education in all institutions that participate in the program.</p> </li><li> <p>Approve the selection of the program faculty as appropriate and participate in ongoing quality assurance that the faculty are providing the required education for the trainees at all training sites.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate the program and make changes that are aligned with the needs of the program and the requirements of the national accreditation board.</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee the logistics of the program to be sure the residents have ample opportunities to meet all graduation requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare and submit all information as requested by the Council on Podiatric Medical Education.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate all trainees semiannually with documented evaluations and feedback.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with grievance and due process as per the institution.</p> </li><li> <p>Duties for clinical care are also required and include but are not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p>Diagnosis and foot/ankle pathology, and identification of related systemic conditions.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete medical and surgical management of podiatric pathology</p> </li><li> <p>Appropriate consultation, referral, and co-management of patients with complicating systemic conditions, and Health promotion and disease prevention.</p> </li><li> <p>Prescription of pharmaceuticals and therapeutic devices, (orthotics, prosthetic devices, plaster casts, immobilizations devices, etc.)</p> </li></ul> <p>VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package.</p> <p>Work Schedule: Monday through Friday Days, Call and weekend coverage</p> <p>This position with work at Madison VA and Rockford, IL CBOC Clinic</p>
