<p>Description</p> <p>Internship: May-August (full-time), with the potential to transition to part-time during the fall semester.</p> <p>The IS Testing Intern will be responsible for reading technical software specifications and executing manual test cases for web-based software as well as documenting results/evidence of testing. The position will be embedded in the manufacturing software development team and will have close collaboration with teammates.</p> <p>Primary Duties</p> <ul> <li>Read and understand software specifications and execute test cases against those specifications. </li><li>Record the results of test cases and provide detailed feedback to the development team. </li><li>Use supported products during development for the purpose of discovering defects. </li><li>Ensure, whenever possible, that software defects that are discovered can be reproduced. </li><li>Complete projects on time with supervision from the senior testers on the team. </li><li>Continually update technical knowledge and skills. </li><li>Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma, GED or equivalent </li><li>Must be actively enrolled in a degree program (Computer Science, Mathematics, or related scientific or engineering field) </li><li>No previous experience required </li></ul> <p>Preferred Education, Training and Experience</p> <ul> <li>Basic software testing practices or formal software testing instruction </li><li>Object-oriented programming experience, C# preferred </li><li>Selenium WebDriver </li><li>Playwright </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Consistently upholds and reflects the core ethical principles and values that bioMérieux promotes. </li><li>Learning agility to be able to learn from experiences and apply that knowledge to new situations. </li><li>Written Communications - including the ability to communicate technical data in written form. </li><li>Technical learning aptitude to quickly understand and acquire new technical knowledge and skills. </li><li>Informing others by sharing clear, timely information to ensure alignment. </li><li>Practicing time management to allocate tasks, balance priorities, and meet deadlines efficiently </li><li>Skilled in MS Office tools to include but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel (Intermediate: applies skills independently in most situations; handles moderately complex tasks with occasional guidance) </li><li>Basic understanding of software testing principles </li><li>Technical writing skills </li></ul>
