<p>Building Custodian - Part-time</p> <p>Position Title</p> <p>BUILDING CUSTODIAN (Part Time)</p> <p>Primary Purpose</p> <p>Performs routine manual work in connection with the care and maintenance of school buildings and grounds; also performs other related work as required.</p> <p>Contractual</p> <p>Relationship</p> <p>Reports directly to Head Custodian</p> <ul> <li>Empties trash and places in dumpsters replacing wastebasket liners as needed. </li><li>Vacuum all rugs. </li><li>Sweeps and washes tile areas. </li><li>Checks and refills all paper towel, soap and toilet paper dispensers </li><li>Sweeps, mops and buffs hallways as needed. </li><li>Secures buildings at the end of the day. </li><li>Cleans sinks as needed. </li><li>Cleans whiteboards. </li><li>Clears snow and ice. </li><li>Dusts surfaces around windows, furniture, moldings or other areas as needed. </li><li>Replaces light bulbs as necessary </li><li>Sets up and takes down meeting rooms as required. </li><li>Performs preventive maintenance functions to buildings, equipment and systems. </li><li>Reports major repair or building operation system's problems to the Facilities Director. </li><li>Performs all work in accordance with safety standards. </li><li>Maintains supplies and equipment as required. </li><li>Performs other duties as requested by Head Custodian, Building Principal or Facilities Director as required within the scope of the custodial function. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Completion of high school education or equivalent education and/or experience. </li><li>General knowledge of cleaning materials and methods. Ability to perform moderately heavy manual labor. Skill below mechanical level in performing preventive maintenance on plant and equipment. </li><li>A physical examination by a licensed Medical Doctor is required as a condition of employment. </li><li>Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds to a height of 60 inches above the floor. </li></ul> <p>Performance</p> <p>Review</p> <p>Head Custodian</p> <p>Lincoln, Massachusetts</p> <p>Lincoln is a residential suburb located 12 miles northwest of Boston.
