<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Director, Investment Accounting Policy and Reporting in the Saint Louis, Missouri (MO) area. This position is schedule as hybrid.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead and oversee the creation and implementation of accounting policies related to investments, ensuring adherence to national and international accounting standards (GAAP and IFRS) </li><li>Manage the preparation and review of financial reports concerning investment activities </li><li>Work closely with other departments, finance, compliance, and risk management </li><li>Analyze investment performance data and prepare reports to provide insight to leadership </li><li>Ensure all regulatory compliance practices comply with industry standards </li><li>Identify and assess risks related to investment accounting and reporting </li><li>Train accounting team to ensure they are knowledgeable about current policies and practices in investment accounting </li><li>Communicate complex investment accounting topics to senior management and external auditors* Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration or equivalent related work experience; Master's degree is preferred </li><li>Professional certification (CPA) is preferred </li><li>10+ years of insurance accounting, auditing, or Investment Accounting experience </li><li>Technical proficiency in financial software and tools such as ERP systems, SQL/Query skills and investment management platforms </li><li>Computer software, MS Word, and Excel </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Problem-solving skills and attention to detail </li><li>Time management skills - ability to deliver projects on time and accurate </li><li>Fostering an environment of professional team members and the ability to resolve conflicts within the department </li></ul>
