<p>Title: Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman (Mobile) 3rd shift 11p-7a Location: Ochlocknee, Georgia Department: Maintenance Reports To: Maintenance Manager</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <ul> <li>Maintenance Mechanic Journeyman (Mobile) is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing vehicles, such as, front-end loaders, forklifts, golf carts, trucks and off road heavy equipment. </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Diagnoses and identifies vehicle malfunctions. </li><li>Inspects, repairs, and replaces defective or worn parts such as bearings, pistons, and gears. </li><li>Performs preventative maintenance (PM) as assigned through the PM program. </li><li>Performs stick welding and cutting with oxyacetylene. </li><li>Performs minor electrical repairs and installations such as replacing starters and motors up. </li><li>Documents repair finding and gives feedback on job plans to planner. </li><li>Interacts with CMMS for parts checkout, job closure, equipment documentation, and general equipment info. </li><li>Keeps areas clean and free of clutter. </li><li>Observes all safety rules and regulations. Inspects safety of shop area, tools and plant areas where jobs are ongoing. </li><li>Must understand and follow all QMS (Quality Management System) requirements and registrations (Powders Only) </li><li>Maintain competence in the use of precision tools, such as, micrometers, calipers, torque wrenches, and feeler gauges. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li><li>Participates in improvement activities. </li><li>Operate equipment maintained, such as, Load-All, forklift, skid steer, dump truck, etc. </li><li>Will actively participate in all training and skills development opportunities. Experience: </li><li>Must meet the written and hands-on assessment requirements for this position. </li><li>Must pass computer assessment. </li><li>Must be able to read, comprehend, and act on SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures, AIQ processes, and similar documents. </li><li>Must be available for call-in maintenance. </li><li>Must be able to read and understand shop manuals, parts, diagrams, schematic drawings and blue prints. </li><li>Basic industrial electricity knowledge and the ability to perform minor electrical repairs. </li><li>Willingness to attend classes and seminars to enhance mechanical skills. </li><li>Good oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Must be able to stand for the majority of the shift </li><li>Must be able to lift and carry to 50 pounds </li><li>Bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, walking, and climbing stairways and ladders frequently. </li><li>Physical endurance to withstand the following: repair and maintenance of mobile equipment, lifting equipment components, loosening large nuts and bolts, positioning equipment, etc. </li><li>Must be able to hear radio and telephone communications. </li><li>Must meet all physical requirements of the position. </li></ul> <p>Pay: $31.24 + $2.00 shift differential</p>
