<p>OVERVIEW</p> <p>The Manager, IT Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This role combines managerial responsibilities with hands-on technical expertise to support and enhance the IT infrastructure environment. The Manager, IT Infrastructure will also schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and network problems in a timely and accurate fashion. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, this position serves as a key member of the Information Technology organization's leadership team.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Participate as a member of the management team in alignment with company and departmental goals. </li><li>Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future infrastructure technologies and processes. </li><li>Assist with the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans, procedures, audits, and enhancements </li><li>Define and communicate corporate plans, procedures, policies, and standards for the organization for acquiring, implementing, and operating new systems, equipment, networks, and other related technologies </li><li>Ensure the availability of the data residing on or transmitted to/from/through enterprise workstations, servers and other systems and in databases and other data repositories. </li><li>Ensure backups of company data are running, tested, and stored in a safe and secure manner </li><li>Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements </li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration </li><li>Participate in the development of IT strategies in collaboration with the executive team </li><li>Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts </li><li>Establish service level agreements with business units </li><li>Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure projects and associated efforts </li><li>Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services </li><li>Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures in conjunction with internal security team </li><li>Manage and perform basic and expedited support to resolve all networking related issues </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve all expedited issues impacting the customers' and businesses challenges and needs </li><li>Proactively communicate the status, plan of action(s), and resolution(s) of issues </li><li>Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, and wireless implementations </li><li>Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions </li><li>Define hardware and software standards in conjunction with owners and stakeholders </li><li>Perform project work as appropriate </li><li>Manage incoming tickets. Identify recurring incidents, perform root cause analysis and recommend/implement permanent solution; recommend solutions that can enable the Service Desk to resolve issues at L1 </li><li>Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure </li><li>Resolve advanced video, voice, and data issues for multiple systems with minimal assistance </li><li>Test server performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure </li><li>Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent infrastructure activities </li><li>Practice IT asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation </li><li>Direct and administrate a contingent of network analysts and technicians, and where necessary, conduct performance reviews and corrective action </li><li>Lead, influence and empower the organization to fulfill our purpose (living our legacy, shaping our future, and winning as one). </li><li>Cultivate a diverse and inclusive culture where associates can thrive, make us better and fuel ideas/innovations to ensure our long-term success. </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, Information Systems, or an IT related field from an accredited college is required; Master's degree in Business or an IT related field is preferred </li><li>5+ years' experience managing and delivering infrastructure design and operational excellence </li><li>2+ years' direct management experience of direct, cross functional, sourced, or matrixed teams </li><li>Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas in easy-to-understand business terms </li><li>Ability to be a change advocate to mature and advance our technology strategy </li><li>Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments </li><li>Ability to lead and influence all levels and across the organization </li><li>Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware </li><li>Preferred industry certifications (one or more of the following): </li><li>Network+ </li><li>CCNA </li><li>Certified Infrastructure Manager (CIM) </li><li>Certified Infrastructure Architect (CIA) </li><li>JNCIA </li><li>VMware Certified Professional </li><li>Domestic and/or international travel for project work, training or other business-related purposes may be required </li><li>Off-hours availability is required, and may be frequent at times due to event and/or incident resolution </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure management </li><li>Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi for virtualization and server management </li><li>Strong knowledge of Juniper EX/SRX family switches and firewalls, including SD-WAN configurations </li><li>Skilled in managing Group Policy for user and system configurations in Windows environments </li><li>Experience with backup and recovery solutions including Unitrends and NetBackup </li><li>Capable of staying abreast of new technologies and industry trends (frameworks, best practices, etc.) </li><li>Excellent conflict resolution skills with the ability to maintain a balanced perspective when dealing with conflicting demands for your team </li><li>Strategically agile with the ability to anticipate future consequences and trends while contributing to competitive organizational framework (strategic thinking) </li><li>Provide honest analysis and use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions (analytical and problem-solving skills) </li></ul> <p>COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS</p> <ul> <li>Take Control:ask for the direction and support you need to attain mastery of your objectives and ownership of your professional development. </li><li>Be Engaged & Committed: lean in to learn, engage, and contribute, resulting in increased performance and personal satisfaction from your work. </li><li>Be Accountable:hold yourself responsible for achieving your goals and successfully executing against the organization's initiatives. </li><li>Overcome Constraints: avoid letting perceived roadblocks limit your ability to solve problems, address challenges, and develop innovative solutions. </li><li>Lead & Develop: Coach, mentor and motivate team members to drive high levels of productivity and achievement.
