<p>Cognizant is looking for an Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) - The Data Engineer designs builds and maintains scalable data pipelines and architectures specializing in ingesting transforming and modeling customer data using XDM schemas RT-CDP and SQL. They collaborate with marketing and technical teams to enable real-time personalization identity resolution and data governance.</p> <p>Role: AEP Architect</p> <p>Location: Remote. Cognizant reserves the right to modify this information at any time, subject to applicable law.</p> <p>Roles and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Own the overall AEP and AJO solution architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and operational readiness. </li><li>Lead architectural decision-making across data, identity, journeys, integrations, and governance. </li><li>Translate business objectives into platform-native architectural patterns aligned to Adobe Experience League guidance. </li><li>Provide architectural oversight across multiple workstreams and delivery teams. </li><li>Architect XDM schema models, datasets, and profile enablement strategies. </li><li>Design identity namespace strategies, merge policies, and profile stitching approaches. </li><li>Lead Real-Time CDP implementations including segmentation strategies using PQL. </li><li>Define sandbox strategies and environment separation (dev / QA / stage / prod). </li><li>Architect event-triggered and segment-qualified journeys, including re-entry rules, throttling, and versioning </li><li>Design cross-channel orchestration across email, push, SMS, in-app, and web. </li><li>Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and enterprise privacy frameworks. </li><li>Architect integrations with upstream and downstream systems using AEP, RTCDP, and AJO APIs. </li><li>Provide architectural guidance during Agile delivery, including sprint planning and design reviews. </li><li>Support deployment and promotion strategies from lower environments to production. </li><li>Define operational monitoring and troubleshooting standards using journey logs, message feedback events, and platform diagnostics. </li><li>Act as escalation point for complex technical or architectural issues. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, marketing technology, or data platforms. </li><li>Deep, hands-on expertise with Adobe Experience Platform. </li><li>Strong experience designing and delivering solutions with Adobe Journey Optimizer. </li><li>Advanced knowledge of XDM modeling, identity resolution, and data governance. </li><li>Strong proficiency in SQL for data modeling and transformation. </li><li>Experience with REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and system integrations. </li><li>Solid understanding of digital marketing, analytics, and customer journey concepts. </li><li>Experience leading architecture in regulated or privacy-sensitive environments. </li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and executive stakeholders. </li></ul>
