<p>Students may only have 5 open job applications at a time.</p> <p>Work Experience:</p> <p>Entry-Level (Foundational)</p> <p>Work Experience Description:</p> <p>Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Designs art and copy layouts for material to be presented by visual communications media such as books, magazines, newspapers, Internet</p> <p>websites, television, and packaging.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy and select style and size of type. </li><li>Confer with clients to discuss and determine layout design. </li><li>Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts, based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts. </li><li>Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and Web sites. </li><li>Use computer software to generate new images. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>WORK EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint </li><li>Experience in office environment and office operations technology. </li><li>Experience in a leadership role. </li><li>Experience in drafting proposals, contracts, and organizing files. </li><li>Experience as a project manager and coordinating events with various entities. </li><li>Positive Work Hard attitude while interacting well with other employees within a department. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Must be a current BYUH Student </li></ul> <p>Base Rate Per Hour:</p> <p>14.00</p> <ul> <li>Must exemplify the university Honor Code, including the Dress and Grooming Principles and Expectations </li><li>Preference will be given to students who can work during academic breaks </li></ul>
