<p>Summary:</p> <p>The Manufacturing Assembly Intern will support our manufacturing team in assembling and preparing our custom computer-based display systems for shipment. This is a hands-on role where the intern will gain experience with rack-mounted system builds, wiring, software loading, and quality checks. The intern will assist in production tasks including hardware installation, cable routing, labeling, inventory support, and packaging, contributing to high-quality and efficient builds.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in assembling and wiring rack-mounted computer systems for customer installations </li><li>Support hardware installation including power, networking, and video components </li><li>Load operating systems and software with guidance from full-time staff </li><li>Help stage systems for testing and prepare for quality checks </li><li>Participate in packaging and shipping preparation </li><li>Maintain organized tools, workstations, and clean work areas </li><li>Follow work instructions and help identify opportunities to improve clarity </li><li>Use basic tools and protective equipment as required (e.g., safety glasses, gloves) </li><li>Learn to read BOMs and system documentation with mentorship from team </li><li>Communicate progress and flag issues clearly to supervisors </li></ul> <p>All Internships Include:</p> <ul> <li>Gain hands-on experience with projects that contribute directly to company goals & building your resume. </li><li>Gain valuable access to Cosm leadership, including our CEO. </li><li>Build your network by connecting with other interns, your intern buddy, teammates and leaders from across the organization. </li><li>Join career skill training sessions on best practices for job applications, recruiting and interviewing. </li><li>Advance your presentation and planning skills. </li><li>An opportunity to win the "Cosm Education & Career Advancement Award," which is a monetary consideration to further your education and expand your opportunities. </li><li>Competitive pay </li><li>Access to three immersive events of your choosing </li><li>Cosm swag bag </li><li>Depending on job location, you will have the opportunity to visit one of our new venues or experience centers (Los Angeles, Dallas, Salt Lake City or Chadds Ford) where you'll see and feel the extraordinary thrill of Cosm content on our dome screen! </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Junior or Senior at the start of the program. </li><li>Available to work in the Cosm Salt Lake City Office. </li><li>Available to work 20 hours per week during the defined Intern period. </li><li>Legally authorized to work in the U.S. </li><li>Strong communication skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Interest in immersive technology and content. </li><li>Majoring in a technical, engineering, or computer-related field </li><li>Interest in computer hardware assembly, cabling, or manufacturing processes </li><li>Ability to follow detailed instructions with high attention to accuracy </li><li>Willingness to work hands-on in a fast-paced manufacturing environment </li><li>Comfortable with hand tools, labeling, and hardware mounting </li></ul>
