<p>The Division of Administrative Law is Louisiana's centralized administrative hearings panel. When disputes arise between certain state agencies and the people and entities they regulate, administrative law judges at DAL provide fair, prompt, an orderly adjudication.</p> <p>The Administrative Coordinator 4 position supports adjudicatory operations by processing and docketing case documents, maintaining accurate electronic case files, and transmitting administrative law judges' orders and decisions. Communicates professionally with staff, attorneys, clients, the public, and partner agencies to support case activities.</p> <p>An Ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:</p> <p>Accepting Direction: The ability to be open and willing to follow guidance or instructions.</p> <p>Demonstrating Accountability: The ability to take ownership of actions, behaviors, performance, decisions, and outcomes.</p> <p>Following Policies and Procedures: The ability to follow, reinforce, adapt, or develop policies and procedures to maintain compliance with federal and state legal requirements, State Civil Service rules, and organizational policies.</p> <p>Thinking Critically: The ability to analyze information objectively, identify connections across sources, and form logical, well-supported conclusions.</p> <p>Acting with Ethics and Integrity: The ability to make choices that reflect ethical standards, integrity and honesty, regardless of circumstances or personal benefit.</p> <p>Communicating Effectively: The ability to convey information, ideas, and emotions using structured communication methods that promote understanding and engagement.</p> <p>Displaying Professionalism: The ability to uphold workplace standards through consistent conduct, responsible communication, and consideration for others.</p> <p>Learning Actively: The ability to pursue learning, seek feedback, and integrate new knowledge to improve personal and professional performance.</p> <p>Making Accurate Judgments: The ability to assess options, weigh risks, and make sound decisions using available information and logical reasoning.</p> <p>Managing Time: The ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and allocate time to ensure timely completion of work goals.</p> <p>Three years of experience in administrative services.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:</p> <p>Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.</p> <p>The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.Job Duties </p> <ul> <li>Process incoming mail and appropriately docket all case-related documents, pleadings, correspondences, etc., as instructed. </li><li>Forwards any unrelated documents, with guidance from Deputy Clerk, if necessary. </li><li>Dockets appeal requests filed with DAL as instructed. </li><li>Mails and/or transmits administrative law judges' orders and decisions related to adjudications. </li><li>Ensures information integrity in the electronic case management system database by timely, thoroughly, and accurately performing data entry and docketing communications and other documents into the appropriate case file. </li><li>Scans and dockets evidence and other documents received during adjudicatory proceedings. </li><li>Communicates professionally and effectively by mail, telephone, or e-mail with other members of the DAL office, attorneys, clients, members of the public, and other state agency representatives </li></ul> <p>Position-Specific Details:</p> <p>Appointment Type: This posting may be used to fill multiple vacancies within the agency.
