For more information, visit www.jobs.premisehealth.com.</p> <p>As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Madison, WI.</p> <p>Schedule: 34 hours/week</p> <ul> <li> <p>Monday: 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM</p> </li><li> <p>Tuesday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM</p> </li><li> <p>Wednesday: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM</p> </li><li> <p>Thursday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM</p> </li><li> <p>Friday: 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM</p> </li></ul> <p>What we are seeking:</p> <p>We are a small, mission-driven health center seeking a dependable, team-oriented Medical Assistant with a strong work ethic and a passion for providing excellent patient care.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a primary care or community health setting</p> </li><li> <p>Exceptional phlebotomy skills (required)</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in both front and back office responsibilities</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to support providers during exams and minor procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in administering injections, collecting and processing lab specimens and drug screens</p> </li><li> <p>Comfortable managing patient check-in/check-out, referrals, and other administrative tasks</p> </li><li> <p>Epic EMR experience a plus</p> </li></ul> <p>If you're a reliable multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment, we'd love to hear from you!</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height) </li><li>Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records </li><li>Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments </li><li>Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations </li><li>Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <ul> <li>National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted </li><li>Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required </li><li>State Lab Certificate (NV only) </li><li>CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only) </li><li>Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Work-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed.
