La solicitud ahora requerirá tres cartas de referencia profesional, todas las cartas deben de tener una fecha en los ultimos 12 meses.</p> <p>Si usted es un empleado actual del distrito, por favor asegúrese de que una de las cartas de referencia provenga de su supervisor actual.</p> <p>Gracias por su comprensión.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Attention to all instructional assistant applicants</p> <p>To qualify for instructional assistant positions, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:</p> <p>Passing score on the ParaPro exam (457)</p> <p>or</p> <p>Minimum of 48 semester hours of college credit from a regionally accredited college or university, with at least 15 of those credits dedicated to language arts (3 hours), mathematics (3 hours), writing (3 hours), and reading, writing, math readiness, or professional education (6 hours).</p> <p>Assist in the implementation of a voluntary, quality, Early Childhood program that aligns with the New Mexico Early Childhood Program Standards.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Follows National Association for the Education of Young Children's Developmentally Appropriate Practice in Early Childhood Programs serving children from birth through eight years of age.</p> <p>Assists the certified teacher in implementing an instructional program which meets the total developmental needs of children (e.g. physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs) and includes health care, nutrition, safety, and multicultural sensitivity.</p> <p>Also, assists the certified teacher during home visits and parent teacher conferences.</p> <p>Comply with local, state, and federal regulations</p> <p>Promotes Pre-K education and assists in recruitment of students for Pre-K programming.</p> <p>Assists the teacher in planning and implementing parent meetings and events such as "Literacy Night", "Family Math Night", "Science Night", etc.</p> <p>Attend staff meetings and all required trainings and meetings</p> <p>Participate in home visits and parent-teacher conferences</p> <p>Assist in planning and attending parent involvement events</p> <p>Support student recruitment and promotion of the Pre-K program</p> <p>Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues</p> <p>Help prepare and organize instructional materials</p> <p>Supervise children in classroom and during off-site activities</p> <p>Assists the teacher in supervising students while on site or on field trip(s).</p> <p>Works as a team member to effectively facilitate the total operation of program goals and objectives.</p> <p>Displays a desire and enthusiasm for working with young children.</p> <p>Use time effectively; is punctual and has good attendance.</p> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>This job has no supervisory responsibilities.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. New Mexico Public Education Department Level III Educational Assistant License</p> <p>? Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.</p> <p>REASONING ABILITY</p> <p>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</p> <p>PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
