Cost justifies new capital equipment or expense projects in a corporate format. Provides technical analysis and resolution to engineering problems. Provides engineering support to the engineering staff and manufacturing operations relative to equipment, processes, equipment upgrades and/or improvements, and other engineering needs. Provides guidance to production supervision and operating personnel pertaining to equipment support, troubleshooting and optimization.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities</p> <p>Ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and Mativ Guiding Principles, policies and procedures.Identifies major equipment needs, makes recommendations and prepares suitable appropriation requests, including financial justifications when applicable.Obtains quotes, estimates or bids for purchased equipment, fabricated and purchased components, technical services, construction, installation and other purchased products or services needed in the execution of an assigned project through a RFQ process.Project management within time and budget guidelines including communication of project status, costs, deadlines, specifications, procurement, installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, training and documentation.Generate designs and drawings in AutoCAD for the layout, components, tooling mechanical, facility layout, electrical, fluid power, piping and additional disciplines required on the project.Serve as engineering support and a technical resource to the location teams to ensure smooth, efficient machine operation.Recommends modification or replacement of equipment to ensure greater continuity of operation for maximum economy of operations with lower unit cost of maintenance activity.Stays informed concerning new research and design methodology and investigates their potential applications.Designs and implements cost-effective equipment modifications to improve safety, reliability and efficiencyWorks on-site with travel</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>years experience </li><li>Project management experience in a manufacturing environment </li><li>Experience in a resin web converting operation </li><li>Ability to work in team environment leading teams </li><li>Strong oral and written communication skills including presentation skills </li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude </li><li>Effective prioritization and time management skills </li><li>Advanced Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite & highly proficient in 2D AutoCAD </li><li>Experience with PLC's (programmable logic </li><li>controllers) </li><li>Vendor negotiation skills </li><li>Machine and tooling design experience </li><li>Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks at once </li><li>Working within a union facility </li></ul> <p>What We Offer</p> <p>At Mativ, our benefits reflect how much we value and care for each other.
