<p>JOB PURPOSE</p> <p>The Activities Driver is responsible for safely transporting residents/staff to and from scheduled activities/events</p> <p>under the direction of the Activities Director and in accordance with current, federal and state standards and</p> <p>regulations and facility policies and procedures.</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Provide safe and on-time transportation for resident activities</p> <p>Assist residents with boarding and un-boarding the vehicle</p> <p>Perform inspection of facility vehicle prior to every trip and report any damage or safely concerns to Activities</p> <p>Director</p> <p>Report all accidents and incidents to Activities Director</p> <p>Provide current proof of insurability annually or as requested</p> <p>Communicate in a positive manner with healthcare team members, residents, families, visitors and vendors</p> <p>Adhere to facility policies and procedures, including infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations</p> <p>Responsible for attending in-service programs, educational workshops and meetings as required by the facility</p> <p>and state</p> <p>Perform other duties as assigned</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Must have a high school diploma or equivalent</p> <p>Must be a minimum of 18 years of age</p> <p>Must possess a current Driver's License or Commercial Driver's License with a passenger endorsement if</p> <p>required by vehicle size</p> <p>Must possess personal vehicle insurance coverage and provide ongoing proof of coverage</p> <p>Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and, to work independently and as a part of a team</p> <p>Ability to remain calm and cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position</p> <p>Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, emotional upset and at times, hostile elderly</p> <p>Must be in good general health and free of communicable diseases</p> <p>Must have visual acuity and ability to hear, with or without use of prosthetics</p> <p>Must have the physical ability to lift, push, pull and move equipment in excess of 25 pounds</p> <p>Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents from the vehicle and/or activity if needed</p> <p>Must have the ability to read, write and speak the English language</p> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS</p> <p>Works under the supervision of the Activities Director and facility Administrator</p> <p>Works primarily on the road outside the facility</p> <p>May be required to work beyond normal working hours, on weekends and holidays and on other shifts when</p> <p>necessary.</p> <p>This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the Activities Driver</p> <p>position and is not an exhaustive list of key responsibilities, qualifications or working conditions associated with it.</p> <p>Caring Place Healthcare Group reserves the right to modify or revise the job description as needed.</p> <p>I have read and understand the job requirements, responsibilities and expectations set forth in the job description</p> <p>provided for the Activities Driver position.
