<p>Please note that candidates for this position must be based in the Salt Lake City metro area and be willing to commute 2-3 days a week when this role transitions to a hybrid schedule in 2026. We're excited to be growing our presence in Salt Lake City!</p> <p>Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager on the Patient-Provider team, you will take on a high-visibility, high-impact role as a Senior Software Engineer II. You will be a technical leader on an experienced engineering team, focused on developing innovative tools and features that empower caregivers to provide best-in-class care for their patients. Your work will directly impact our patients and their well-being, our caregivers and their toolset, and the therapeutic alliance between the two.</p> <p>What you'll be doing:</p> <ul> <li>Design and expand the capabilities of our full-stack application (built with Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, and React) to deliver actionable insights from customer data. </li><li>Build thoughtful UI and reusable components by contributing to our design system/component library </li><li>Improve and extend our data pipelines using DBT and SQL. </li><li>Work on a well-tested codebase to keep it robust and scalable as the business grows rapidly. </li><li>Identify areas for growth and iteration on our application stack and advocate for them on the engineering roadmap </li><li>Conduct research and experiments to help us make strategic decisions, anticipating the next problem we will be solving </li></ul> <p>What success looks like in this role:</p> <ul> <li>Help deliver features to drive monthly active users, customer utilization, and customer satisfaction </li><li>Write high-quality code: align with unit testing, follow existing code patterns and data model constraints, and ship iteratively within sprint timeline. </li><li>Conduct thoughtful code reviews, ensuring logical soundness, readability, and maintainability </li><li>Identify opportunities for cross-team contributions and organizational impact </li><li>Set personal growth goals to upskill that are aligned with our engineering career ladder. </li></ul> <p>What we expect from you:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience building and scaling full-stack web applications </li><li>Fluency in SQL and working knowledge of modern data tooling </li><li>Comfortable in agile environments and always eager to learn </li><li>Collaborative, communicative, and experienced in pair programming </li><li>Passionate about mentoring and growing engineers </li><li>Able to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous startup environments </li><li>Comfortable moving fast and working through ambiguity - we are a small startup and are working on balancing the demands of business growth and platform reliability </li><li>Bonus: experience with Ruby on Rails, React & Redux, Docker & AWS, or GraphQL API design </li></ul> <p>The target base salary range for this position is $179,100 - $218,550, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
