The ideal candidate is capable, organized, results oriented and process focused.</p> <p>Position/Job Overview and Expectations:</p> <p>The successful candidate will be expected to:</p> <ul> <li>Apply standard processes/procedures to achieve objectives and goals </li><li>Apply sound engineering principles to a broad variety of assignments </li><li>Travel to wind sites as often as 5-10 days per month </li><li>Respond as needed during off-hours as power generation business operates 'around the clock' </li></ul> <p>Under supervision/guidance, the successful candidate will be expected to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform Day to Day Activities of Wind Mechanical Equipment Dispositions</p> </li><li> <p>Drive-train system</p> </li><li> <p>Yaw system</p> </li><li> <p>Pitch system</p> </li><li> <p>Hydraulic system</p> </li><li> <p>Bolted Joint</p> </li><li> <p>Perform Root Cause Analysis</p> </li><li> <p>Systemic & Emerging Wind Turbine Issues</p> </li><li> <p>Catastrophic Events</p> </li><li> <p>Develop & Deploy</p> </li><li> <p>RCA Countermeasures</p> </li><li> <p>Reliability Improvement Countermeasures</p> </li><li> <p>Cost Effective Solutions to Problems</p> </li><li> <p>Tool Development</p> </li><li> <p>Drive Organization Efficiencies</p> </li><li> <p>Automating Processes</p> </li><li> <p>Standardizing Dispositions</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering </li><li>5+ Years of Relevant Engineering Work (design, project, test, etc.) </li><li>Demonstrated History of Professional Work </li><li>Travel to wind sites as often as 5-10 days per month </li><li>Physically Capable of Climbing a Wind Turbine and Executing Field Work </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Gear, Bearing, Bolted Joint Design, Application and/or Maintenance Experience </li><li>Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering </li><li>Licensed Professional Engineer </li><li>Experience with Maximo or similar enterprise asset management system </li><li>Six Sigma Certification </li></ul> <p>Job Overview</p>
