Professional</p> <p>Position Details:</p> <p>Development and Alumni Relations Coordinator, Office of Development and Alumni Relations, Vancouver Campus</p> <p>The Opportunity</p> <p>If you would enjoy working with a wonderful team focused on engaging the community and Cougar alums, the Development and Alumni Relations Coordinator position on the Vancouver campus might be an opportunity to consider.</p> <p>As the Development and Alumni Relations Coordinator you will be responsible for planning, facilitating and reporting within the WSU Vancouver Office of Development and Alumni Relations. In this role, you support the Senior Director of Development who works with campus leaders, system leaders, volunteers and other development teams on philanthropic activities.</p> <p>You will oversee department gift processing and stewardship and communicate with donors and alumni regarding current and potential gifts, endowment agreements, gift planning documents, non-cash gifts and other information, including confidential gift information under the direction of a development officer. You will also provide technical support to the development officers on gift processing, receipts, and acknowledgements.</p> <p>The Development Coordinator is the main point of contact on funds involving donor gifts to ensure donor gift intent. You will also manage department scholarships and annual giving, including serving as the department contact for student fundraising. You will provide oversight of day-to-day operations, including administrative functions for the WSU Vancouver Development and Alumni Relations office, as well as working closely with the Senior Director to coordinate workflow and handle special projects. You will exercise independent judgement in interpreting and applying the rules, policies and ethics of professional fundraising activities. At all times, this position must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality.</p> <p>Percentage Breakdown of Job Functions:</p> <p>35% Gift Acceptance and Donor Stewardship</p> <p>25% Alumni and Donor Engagement</p> <p>15% Scholarship Process Management</p> <p>10% Annual Giving</p> <p>10% Financial and Administrative</p> <p>5% Other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Last Day Applications Will Be Accepted: Sunday, June 15, at 11:59 p.m.</p> <p>This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.</p> <p>This position works on-site on the WSU Vancouver campus. This position is not eligible for remote/hybrid work assignments.</p> <p>Monthly Salary: $4,050 - $ 5,829 | Grade 3 Zone 3 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications</p> <p>In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range. For additional information, please review the detailed Summary of Benefits offered by WSU for AP staff and Total Compensation.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>A Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience, which includes six (6) months of full-time experience in marketing, gift solicitation or public contact work with evidence of ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively orally and in writing and organize and execute assignments.</p> <p>A Master's degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.</p> <p>Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in higher education or similar complex organization. </li><li>Previous coordination and project management responsibilities, including demonstrated ability to create, initiate, strategize and organize activities, events or programs. </li></ul> <p>About WSU Vancouver</p> <p>WSU Vancouver is located on the homelands of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe and Peoples of the Lower Columbia Valley.
