<p>Eligible for $7,500 sign-on bonus!</p> <p>Performs laboratory tests in hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, special chemistry, transfusion service, and serology per policy and procedure. Performs calibrations and interprets testing and QC patterns.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates specific hematology skills as listed and in accordance with the hematology procedure manual. </li><li>Demonstrates specific coagulation skills as listed and in accordance with the coagulation procedure manual. </li><li>Demonstrates specific urinalysis skills as listed and in accordance with the urinalysis procedure manual. </li><li>Demonstrates specific chemistry skills as listed and in accordance with the chemistry procedure manual. </li><li>Demonstrates specific blood banking skills as listed and in accordance with the transfusion service procedure manual. </li><li>Demonstrates specific serology skills as listed and in accordance with the serology procedure manual. </li><li>Demonstrates other skills and duties as listed and in accordance with other laboratory procedure manuals. </li><li>Demonstrates ability to draw Arterial Blood Gases. </li><li>Demonstrates ability to perform finger sticks, heel sticks, and venipunctures on children. </li><li>Demonstrates ability to collect nasopharyngeal swabs, nasal swabs, and throat swabs. </li><li>Performs collection and testing on persons of all ages (from infants to elderly) per specimen collection manual. </li><li>Performs Medical Necessity screening and follow-up. </li><li>Draws patients at Heritage Health and the Clinics </li><li>Represents the department in a professional manner </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education Requirements and Other Requirements:</p> <p>Education Level:</p> <p>Associate Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent.</p> <p>Certification/Licensure:</p> <p>MLT(ASCP) preferred</p> <p>Experience Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum one year hospital laboratory experience preferred.</p>
